We are the Beta Xi chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, a National Honorary Service Sorority for members of the college bands. The Beta Xi chapter proudly serves the University of Florida bands and promotes the performance and appreciation of music throughout the Gainesville community. We are comprised of members of the UF bands who have been selected for passion for and commitment within the university band programs.

In Tau Beta Sigma, our bond is about more than serving college bands—it’s about each other. Our sisters are always there to uplift one another, whether through encouragement, guidance, shared memories, or simply being present when it matters most. As the largest chapter in the Southeast District (SED), there is always a sister who will welcome you, support you, and make you feel at home.

Welcome to the official website of the University of Florida's Beta Xi Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma! Our sisters have served the UF Bands and the surrounding Gainesville community since 1958. We aim to provide exceptional service to college bands while promoting equity and diversity within the band profession through student-organized events and activities. The Beta Xi Chapter provides outstanding band members with leadership opportunities, sisterhood, and service experiences that will last a lifetime!
